How does your service work?

It’s very easy!


  1. Place an order via our website or request a custom quote for an item here.
  2. Once we receive your payment, we’ll purchase your item and ship it to your international location.

We take care of the entire shopping process from start to finish so you don't have to lift a finger. This includes purchasing your item, inspecting the goods upon arrival at our facility, repacking the items and preparing all necessary shipping and customs documentation.

How does pricing work?

The total cost will be made up of the following components:


  1. Product Cost (passed through from the U.S. store)
  2. International Shipping Fee (passed through from FedEx / DHL)
  3. Service Fee (for each order, we charge a service fee of $50 for the first item and $15 for every additional item

Please note that you may be required to pay customs duties/import taxes once the parcel arrives in your country.

How are shipping costs calculated?

Shipping costs are passed through directly from the shipping courier (e.g. FedEx or DHL) and are based on the weight and dimensions of your package.

How is the service fee calculated?

The service fee depends on how many items you are ordering. For every order, we charge a service fee of $50 for the first item and $15 for each additional item.

The service fee is the same regardless of the product cost, type of item, or the number of stores you are ordering from.

For example, ordering 2 phones from the same store would attract a service fee of $65. Similarly, ordering 1 phone and 1 laptop from two different stores would also attract a service fee of $65.

Why do you charge a service fee?

Our service fee is what we charge to help you purchase your item from the U.S. and ship it to your doorstep, hassle-free.


The service fee covers the entire purchasing process, including sourcing your item, purchasing your goods, inspecting your goods upon arrival at our facility, packing your items and preparing all necessary shipping and customs documentation.

Why does my quote include U.S. sales tax?

In America, sales tax is charged if the U.S. store has a presence in the state in which the customer resides.


Big Apple Buddy is based in New York so an 8.875% sales tax may apply to your order.


Because we are purchasing the item on your behalf, the full product cost (including the sales tax) gets passed through to you. It’s similar to if you asked your friend in New York to purchase the item on your behalf. In such an instance, you would be paying them back exactly what the store charged them.


To minimize costs, Big Apple Buddy will always try to source your item from a U.S. store that does not attract sales tax.

Will I be charged customs duties or import taxes?

This depends on which country you are shipping to and what items you are buying.


We recommend contacting your local customs authority for an accurate quote prior to placing an order.

What countries does Big Apple Buddy ship to?

Big Apple Buddy currently ships to over 100 countries all over the world. Customers can get a shipping quote by selecting their country from the drop-down menu during checkout.

Will my product be covered by international warranty?

Unfortunately, products purchased from the U.S. through Big Apple Buddy are only covered by U.S. warranty. We’d be more than happy to assist with the warranty process, but you would need to pay for any shipping and store related charges. A US$50 service fee would also apply.

Will my product be covered for loss and damage during delivery?

The shipping cost includes FedEx insurance for loss and damage during transit up to the product value.

Can I pay in my local currency?

All of the prices on our website are in USD. However, you can choose to pay in your local currency via PayPal upon checkout.

What do I do if I can’t find the product I want on your website?

If the item you’re after isn’t our website, we can still help you buy from the U.S. Simply request a custom quote at www.bigapplebuddy.com/get-a-quote/ and we’ll send you a free quote within 24 hours.

What makes Big Apple Buddy different from using a parcel forwarder or buying from eBay?

Our service is a more reliable way of purchasing from the U.S. Some of the main differences include:

How do the Affiliate Tiers work?

The BAB Affiliate Program is made up of 4 Tiers.

When you join the BAB Affiliate Program, you will be automatically placed in Tier 1. To unlock Tier 2 and start getting access to monthly service fee credits, you will need to complete the "YouTube Explainer Video Challenge". Access to Tiers 3 and 4 will depend on how many eligible orders you brought us in the prior calendar month.

Tier eligibility will be assessed on the 1st of every month. You tier status will change depending on your performance in the prior calendar month. Tier eligibility requirements and benefits are set out below:

Our affiliate program is targeted towards YouTubers with an international audience. Everyone is free to apply – even if you’re already a part of another affiliate program. To determine if you’re eligible to become an affiliate partner, our team will review your application and invite you to join if your content fits our company’s vision and values.

Do I have to pay to join the affiliate program?

Not at all! Our affiliate program is completely free to join.

How can I join your affiliate program?

To become an affiliate partner, you will need to have an established and publicly available YouTube account. And of course, your visions and values must align with our company's. If you would like to join the BAB affiliate community, simply fill out an application here. We’ll review your application and let you know whether your application has been approved within 48 hours.

How do I know if my application has been approved?

All applications are reviewed by a member of our team within 48 hours of submission. Once your application has been reviewed, you’ll receive an email notifying you of your status.

Why was my application rejected?

Your application to join our affiliate program may be rejected for one or more of the following reasons:


  • Insufficient number of YouTube subscribers
  • Insufficient activity on social media
  • Insufficient engagement levels on social media
  • Based in a country we do not currently service
  • Content does not align with our company’s vision and values
My application has been approved. What are my next steps?

How do I earn commission?

You can earn commission by sharing your affiliate code with your followers on social media. For every new Big Apple Buddy customer that places an order on bigapplebuddy.com using your affiliate code, they will receive $10 off their service fee. You will also earn commission on the order once it has been delivered (ranging from US$10 to US$15, depending on your Tier status).

How much commission do I earn on each order?

The amount of commission you will earn for each eligible order depends on which Tier you are on when the order is placed.

The commission amounts for each Tier are set out below:

  • Tier 1: US$10 commission per eligible order
  • Tier 2: US$10 commission per eligible order
  • Tier 3: US$12.50 commission per eligible order
  • Tier 4: US$15 commission per eligible order
Is there a limit on how much I can earn?

There is no limit on how much commission you can earn. The more you promote our service and share your affiliate code, the more you’ll earn!

What is an affiliate code?

Your affiliate code is a unique 3-10 character code that your viewers can use to receive a discount on their first Big Apple Buddy order. We recommend selecting something simple and memorable like your YouTube channel name. You can choose your affiliate code when you create your BAB Affiliate Program account.

Can I change my affiliate code?

Unfortunately, not. Affiliate codes are selected when you create your BAB Affiliate Program account and cannot be changed.

How do I share my affiliate code?

You can share your affiliate code with your followers and subscribers in any way you like. Don’t forget to include a link to bigapplebuddy.com so your audience can use your code. Each code is unique to you and cannot be used by other affiliates.

What products can I promote?

You can promote any products or brands available on bigapplebuddy.com. You can also visit the Sales & Popular Products section of your Affiliate Portal to learn about new products and offers that your audience might be interested in.

When will Big Apple Buddy referrals be posted to my account?

Valid referrals will be posted in the Commission Balance section of your Affiliate Portal as orders are placed. The status of an order will be updated when it has been successfully delivered.

Do I earn commission if an order placed with my affiliate code is cancelled?

Unfortunately, not. Commission will be awarded when an order has been successfully delivered.

How will I be notified when a customer uses my affiliate code?

Valid referrals will be posted in the Commission Balance section of your Affiliate Portal as orders are placed. You will also receive an email each time someone successfully uses your affiliate code. The status of an order will be updated when it has been successfully delivered.


Will I only earn commission for products that I promote?

Not at all! You will earn commission on any valid order that uses your affiliate code – regardless of the product type, order size, or delivery country.

Where do I track my commission earnings?

You will earn commission for every valid use of your affiliate code. You can track your commission earnings in the Commission Balance section of your Affiliate Portal. Your commission earnings for a particular order will be based on your tier status at the time the order was placed. For example, if you were on Tier 1 when the order was placed, you will see $10.00 in the earnings column for that transaction. If you were on Tier 4 when the order was placed, you will see $15.00 in the earnings column for that transaction.

Where can I view my commission earnings history?

Once a referral has been approved and paid, you can view the details in the Payout History section of your Affiliate Portal by selecting the payout date from the drop-down menu.


What is the BAB Rewards Program?

The BAB Rewards Program gives affiliate partners the opportunity to earn BAB Points by completing social media challenges throughout the year. BAB Points can later be redeemed for exclusive prizes. All affiliate partners gain access to our rewards program upon sign up.

What are BAB Points and how can I earn them?

BAB Points are a virtual currency that you can earn by completing social media challenges in your Affiliate Portal.

Why was my challenge submission not approved?

Submissions must meet the specific challenge requirements set out in your Affiliate Portal in order to be approved. If your submission has not been approved, we recommend reviewing the challenge requirements and making a new submission once all requirements have been satisfied.

How do I redeem BAB Points?

You can redeem BAB Points for exclusive prizes in your Affiliate Portal. Shipping costs will be covered by Big Apple Buddy. However, please note that you are responsible for any import taxes/customs duties for your prize. We recommend checking with your local customs authority to see what charges may apply prior to redeeming your points.

Do my BAB Points expire?

Not at all! BAB Points do not expire so feel free to redeem them for prizes at your leisure.

Are there any restrictions on the redemption of BAB Points?

BAB Points cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash, or applied to a Big Apple Buddy order. Prizes redeemed with BAB Points cannot be returned or exchanged.

How can I change my affiliate code?

Affiliate codes are unique to each affiliate partner and cannot be changed after sign-up.
